Furniture & Seating Development

Indiana Furniture approached us to develop a new seating property aimed at modularity and a wide range of environments and fits.

01. Ideation

02. Concept Development

03. Engineering + MFG

Ideation

Our ideation phase focused on form and construction methods to deliver a successful product to market. Our experience in supply chain and construction methods allowed us to gather around an array of concepts and quickly share our approach with Indiana Furnitures team.

Concept Development

With our basic goals laid out and a direction established we went to work in CAD developing surface and focusing on a modular platform. This design includes 3 different seat back types, arm/arm-less versions of each and an option between casters and stationary feet.

Engineering + MFG

Once our concept had been established we went to work testing and validating our design. Making revisions where needed and looking into specific components as well as the overall assembly to prep it for lean manufacturing and cutting costs. This phase involves some different stakeholders to drive efficiencies in supply chain and manufacturing.
